Lock Boxes

Lockboxes (key boxes) are sometimes used for key / fob storage when homes are listed for sale, housekeepers, remodeling or other purposes.  

For the World Cup, a lock box policy has been developed to hinder unauthorized Short Term Rentals.  Short Term Rentals are not permitted at Deer Lofts HOA.

Lockboxes are not permitted on any limited common element.  inside or outside of the building as follows:

• Dates: 5-Jun-2026  through 19-Jul-2026

• After 5-Jun-26, lockboxes will be removed by the HOA.  

• Owners can request their lockbox be returned to their possession through the CMA portal.

• The HOA will not return unclaimed lockboxes to their original location.

• Unclaimed lockboxes will be discarded 1-August-2026.

Limited common elements include but are not limited to: 

• • The rail by the call box at the sidewalk

  • Any public access area in the building (lobby, stairwells, residential lhallways, etc.)

  • Fences on the property

  • The gate or gate fence entering the parking area

  • Safety bars on the apartments on Nelson Street (Units 308, 309, 310, 311, 312, 313, 314)

Homes for sale exemption to the Lock Box policy:

• The home must have an active listing on MLS.  

• The realtor or homeowner must supply hyperlink to the listing in the Lock Box registration.  

• The lockbox must still be registered with HOA.  Register the lock box by clicking here.  The MLS Listing URL is required in the form.

• A photo of the lock box is required in the form.
